Ingredients
  

  • 4 ahi tuna steaks 6 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and olive oil in a bowl.
  • Brush this mix on both sides of the tuna steaks.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds, pepper, and garlic powder on the tuna.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Put tuna steaks in the skillet.
  • Sear each side for 1-2 minutes.
  • Take the tuna out of the skillet and let it rest.
  • Slice and serve.

Notes

  1. Use good quality ahi tuna for the best taste.
  2. Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the tuna.
  3. Sear quickly to keep the center rare.
