Equipment

  • Large Glass Bowl
  • Heavy Nonstick Skillet
  • Flat spatula.
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Clean Dinner Plates

Ingredients

  • 1 lb GROUND TURKEY
  • 2 SCALLIONS chopped
  • 2 tbsp FRESH PARSLEY chopped
  • 1 tsp COARSE SALT
  • 1/2 tsp BLACK PEPPER
  • 1 tbsp OLIVE OIL
  • 4 BURGER BUNS

Instructions

  • Place your ground turkey in the large glass bowl. Add the chopped scallions and the fresh parsley. Use your hands to mix them together gently. Do not overwork the meat or it gets tough.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal round portions. Shape them into patties about one inch thick. Make a small indent in the center of each. This helps the burgers stay flat while they cook.
  • Season both sides with salt and black pepper. Place your skillet over a medium-high heat flame. Add a small amount of olive oil to the pan. Let the oil get hot before adding the meat.
  • Place the turkey patties into the hot skillet. Cook them for five minutes on the first side. Flip them over carefully using your flat spatula. Cook for another five minutes until they are brown.
  • Check that the meat is fully cooked inside. The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees. Place the cooked patties onto the toasted burger buns. Add lettuce or tomato if you want more crunch.

Notes

  • Use cold turkey meat to keep the patties firm.
  • Do not press down on burgers with the spatula.
  • Add a splash of water for extra moisture inside.
  • Toast the buns for a better crunch and flavor.
  • Let the meat rest for two minutes before eating.
