Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef 80% lean
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce your favorite
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese optional
  • Lettuce tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
  • Extra BBQ sauce for basting and serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat the grill to medium-high.
  • Mix ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Shape the mixture into four patties.
  • Grill patties for 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Baste with extra BBQ sauce in the last minute.
  • Add cheese slices if you like, and let them melt.
  • Toast buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  • Put together your burgers with toppings.
  • Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  1. Use 80% lean ground beef for juicy burgers.
  2. Chill patties before grilling to keep their shape.
  3. Don’t press down on the patties; it makes them dry.
  4. Baste with BBQ sauce in the last minute for extra flavor.
  5. Let burgers rest for a few minutes before serving.
