Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Boil water in large pot.
  • Add pasta and cook per package directions.
  • Heat oil in large skillet.
  • Add ground beef to hot skillet.
  • Cook beef until completely browned.
  • Add diced onion to beef.
  • Cook onion until soft and clear.
  • Add minced garlic to mixture.
  • Cook garlic for one minute only.
  • Pour in diced tomatoes with juice.
  • Add beef broth to the pan.
  • Season with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper.
  • Let sauce simmer for ten minutes.
  • Drain cooked pasta in colander.
  • Mix pasta with beef sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

  1. Don't overcook the pasta - keep it slightly firm
  2. Drain beef fat for a healthier dish
  3. Let sauce simmer to develop deeper flavors
  4. Add cheese on top for extra richness
  5. Use lean ground beef for best results
