Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans trimmed
  • 6 garlic cloves peeled
  • 6 teaspoons dill seeds
  • 3 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • Trim beans to fit jars perfectly.
  • Pack beans tightly into clean mason jars.
  • Add one garlic clove per jar.
  • Sprinkle one teaspoon dill seeds per jar.
  • Add half teaspoon red pepper flakes.
  • Boil vinegar, water, and salt together.
  • Pour hot brine over packed beans.
  • Leave quarter-inch headspace in each jar.
  • Process in boiling water for ten minutes.
  • Cool completely before storing in pantry.
