Ingredients
  

  • 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Pat salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides with salt and pepper generously.
  • Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place salmon skin-side up in hot skillet carefully.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving the fish.
  • Flip salmon gently using fish spatula or turner.
  • Cook another 3-4 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  • Remove salmon to serving plate and tent with foil.
  • Add butter to same skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Stir in lemon juice and parsley immediately.
  • Pour warm sauce over salmon fillets before serving.

Notes

  1. Choose salmon fillets of equal thickness for even cooking
  2. Don't move salmon once placed in the hot pan
  3. Use medium-high heat to achieve perfect golden crust
  4. Internal temperature should reach 145°F for food safety
  5. Fresh lemon juice works better than bottled varieties
