  • 1 lb Ground pork sausage
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup White onion diced
  • 1 cup Bell pepper diced
  • 0.5 cup Celery finely chopped
  • 4 cups Cooked long-grain rice cooled
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup Green onions chopped

Instructions
 

  • Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet until fully cooked.
  • Add onion, bell pepper, and celery to the meat mixture.
  • Sauté the vegetables until they are soft and translucent.
  • Stir in the Cajun seasoning and garlic powder until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for five minutes.
  • Fold in the cooked rice and mix until everything is combined.
  • Simmer on low heat until most of the liquid absorbs.
  • Garnish with fresh green onions and serve warm.
