Ingredients
  

  • Whole milk = 1½ cups
  • Lime gelatin mix such as Jell-O® brand = 1 (3 oz.) package
  • Heavy cream = ½ cup
  • Lime zest optional = 1 tsp

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix milk and lime gelatin well.
  • Add heavy cream and lime zest, if using, and stir.
  • Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container.
  • Close the lid and place on a flat freezer surface.
  • Freeze the pint for at least 24 hours before churning.
  • Take the pint out of the freezer and remove the lid.
  • Place the pint into the outer bowl and secure the lid.
  • Insert the bowl into the Ninja Creami and press "Ice Cream."
  • Let the machine run until the cycle is finished.
  • Check if the ice cream is smooth and creamy.
  • If it looks crumbly, place it back and press "Re-spin."
  • If still crumbly, add a tablespoon of milk and "Re-spin."

Notes

  1. Use Fresh Lime Juice: This makes the sherbet taste bright and fresh.
  2. Chill Your Ingredients: Cold ingredients mix better in the Ninja Creami.
