Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • Small whisk
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Can opener
  • Large Spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Tuna 5 oz each
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 stalk Celery diced
  • 2 tbsp Red Onion minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

1. Drain the Tuna.

  • Open your cans of tuna. Pour out all the extra liquid. Put the dry tuna in your bowl. Flake it apart with a fork.

2. Prep the Veggies.

  • Wash your celery and parsley. Dice the onion and celery very small. Mince the parsley leaves finely. Add them to the tuna bowl.

3. Make the Dressing.

  • In a separate small bowl, mix mayo. Add the mustard and lemon juice. Whisk until the sauce is very smooth.

4. Combine Everything.

  • Pour the dressing over the tuna. Mix it gently with your spoon. Ensure every piece of tuna has sauce.

5. Season to Taste.

  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the top. Stir one last time. Taste it to see if it needs more.

Notes

➡️ Use cold tuna to keep the salad very refreshing.
➡️ Chop onions very tiny so they are not overpowering.
➡️ Add the lemon juice slowly to control the zest.
➡️ Chill the salad for thirty minutes before you serve.
➡️ Use fresh herbs instead of dried for better taste.
➡️ Try adding capers if you want a salty kick.
