Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Paper towels
  • Small bowl
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Tongs
  • Kitchen Brush

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs CHICKEN THIGHS
  • 2 tbsp OLIVE OIL
  • 1 tsp SALT
  • 0.5 tsp BLACK PEPPER
  • 1 tsp GARLIC POWDER
  • 1 tsp DRIED OREGANO
  • 0.5 tsp SMOKED PAPRIKA

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees now. Line your baking sheet with some foil. This makes cleaning up very fast later.
  • Pat the chicken thighs with paper towels. Make sure the skin is very dry. This helps the skin get extra crispy.
  • Mix your spices in the small bowl. Stir the salt, pepper, and herbs together. Make sure the blend is mixed well.
  • Brush the chicken with a little oil. Sprinkle the spice mix over each piece. Cover both sides of the chicken well.
  • Place the chicken on the baking sheet. Keep the skin side facing up now. Do not let the pieces touch each other.
  • Put the pan in the hot oven. Bake for thirty to thirty-five minutes. The skin should look very golden brown.
  • Check the meat with a thermometer. It should reach 165 degrees inside. Let the meat rest before you eat.

Notes

  • Always dry the chicken skin very well.
  • Do not crowd the baking pan today.
  • Use bone-in thighs for the best flavor.
  • Let the chicken rest after baking it.
  • Season under the skin for extra taste.
